Alleging Jones Act negligence pursuant to 46 U.S.C.App. § 688 and unseaworthiness under the general maritime law, the plaintiff-appellee, Leroy J. Marceaux, brought this suit against his employer, Conoco, Inc., the defendant-appellant herein, for injuries he sustained while working aboard the M/V LAKE CHARLES, a vessel owned and operated by Conoco.
