Appellant Cornelius Barton was indicted for two counts of distribution of crack cocaine, one count of unlawful possession of a pistol by a person under twenty-one, and one count of grand larceny of a motor vehicle (the Old Charges). In addition, Barton was indicted for kidnapping, first-degree burglary, and first-degree criminal sexual conduct (the New Charges). Barton pleaded guilty to the Old Charges and the New Charges, and was sentenced by...
