A jury found Manuel Dawson guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g) and 924(e) (1994). The jury also found Dawson guilty of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) (1994).
