The plaintiff was admitted to the emergency room of the appellant hospital suffering from chest pains and shortness of breath. It was later determined that one of his lungs had collapsed during an asthma attack. The course of treatment rendered to the plaintiff by the appellant hospital necessitated the use of intravenous lines. Apparently due to the plaintiff's long history...
