Angelon Pardon was indicted on October 15, 1995 for the second degree murder of John David Conner, a violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1. At arraignment the defendant pleaded not guilty. The case was tried from May 21 through 23, 1995 before a twelve-member jury, which returned a unanimous verdict finding the defendant guilty as charged.
