This is a mandamus action brought by a practicing lawyer, David A. Ricke, against the City of El Dorado (City) and Doyle Eugene White, a municipal judge for the City. Ricke brought this mandamus action in an attempt to recover a reasonable sum for legal work performed in the municipal court of El Dorado. The trial court denied mandamus, and Ricke appealed.
