Sutton sued his employer, River Gas Corporation, seeking workers' compensation benefits for injuries he sustained in an automobile accident that occurred on May 25, 1993, during the course of his employment. On June 29, 1994, the parties petitioned the trial court for approval of a settlement agreement that had been reached, which called for a lump-sum payment to Sutton of $18,227.34 on his workers' compensation...
