Respondent, an attorney admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, pleaded guilty on February 12, 1993, to an information charging him with tax evasion, in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7201 (1988).1 On May 18, 1993, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland sentenced him to two years' probation, with 160 hours of community service.
