Appellant Charles Cornelius James was originally indicted on four counts of bank robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113. A jury convicted him on three counts, but could not reach a verdict on the remaining count and the court declared a mistrial. The three convictions were overturned on appeal. James was subsequently indicted anew for the remaining bank robbery charge and for conspiracy to commit bank robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C. §...
