In a criminal trial which is not the subject of this appeal, Michael Loftus was convicted of molesting his three daughters, S.M.L., T.L.L., and W.L.L. Thereafter, the girls' mother petitioned the juvenile court to terminate his parental rights, based on his convictions of molesting the children and on allegations that he failed to provide proper parental care, control and support.
