The single question before us is whether the defendant was entitled to a hearing pursuant to G. L. c. 218, § 35A,1 prior to the issuance of a misdemeanor complaint against him for an alleged violation of a G. L. c. 209A abuse prevention order.2 We hold that he was entitled to such a hearing, and we affirm the judgment dismissing the complaint...
