James Philpot was convicted of the handgun murders of Bobby Grimes and Adrian Chester, the aggravated assaults of Kenneth Grimes, Antonio Dallas, and Steven Word, and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.1 The jury fixed his sentence at life without parole. He appeals from the judgment and sentence entered thereon.
