Defendant, the Elephant Butte Irrigation District of New Mexico (the District), appeals a judgment in favor of plaintiff Otis Sanders for damages for violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 201-219. On appeal the District argues that it was entitled to the irrigation exemption under 29 U.S.C. § 213(b)(12), and, even if it was not, the district court erred in awarding liquidated damages and in its calculation...
