One provision of Section 2K2.1 of the sentencing guidelines requires adjustment of a defendant's offense level if a firearm is used or possessed "in connection with another felony offense." Another part of Section 2K2.1 requires application of other guidelines' provisions if the firearm is used or possessed "in connection with the commission or attempted commission of another offense."
