The defendant appeals from the denial of his motion under Mass.R.Crim.P. 30(a), 378 Mass. 900 (1979), seeking postconviction relief in order to correct his sentence by obtaining credit for time spent in confinement in Florida prior to his return to Massachusetts. The material facts, as stipulated by the parties or found by the motion judge, are these.
