LAVERY, J.

The plaintiffs, Suzanne Passini and her mother, Patricia Passini, appeal from the summary judgment rendered by the trial court in favor of the defendant town of Winchester. The plaintiffs claim that the trial court improperly determined that they failed to give the required written notice of Suzanne Passini's injuries to the defendant pursuant to General Statutes § 13a-149.
