WALLER, Justice:

We granted a writ of certiorari to review the Court of Appeals' opinion in State v. Hough, 319 S.C. 104, 459 S.E.2d 863 (Ct.App.1995). We affirm in result.

FACTS

Hough and a co-defendant, James Pierce Jr., were indicted for third degree burglary and grand larceny. The charges stemmed from the burglary of a Chesterfield County warehouse in which two power saws and two flashlights were stolen...
