On January 25, 1994, Plaintiff Larketta Randolph purchased a mobile home from Better Cents Home Builders, Inc. in Opelika, Alabama. Randolph finanćed her purchase through Green Tree Financial Corp. — Alabama. Her financing documents required "vendors single interest" insurance, which protects the vendor or lienholder against the costs of repossession in the event of a default. (
