The district court, after a bench trial, entered judgment in favor of William M. Salus under section 510 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), 29 U.S.C. § 1001 et seq. The district court found that GTE terminated Salus in order to interfere with rights protected by ERISA.
