This case was previously before this Court on an appeal of the Regional Transit Authority ("RTA") from a judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV) rendered in plaintiff's favor following a bifurcated trial. We set aside the JNOV, and reinstated the jury verdict. Plaintiff applied for writs from this decision to the Louisiana Supreme Court. The Supreme Court held that the jury trial was improperly called and the verdict of the jury must be disregarded...
