WILLIAMS, Judge.

A commercial surety company, National American Insurance Company ("National"), appeals a judgment in favor of the plaintiff, the state of Louisiana, rejecting the surety's petition to nullify a judgment of bond forfeiture rendered when the defendant, Nathaniel Jones, failed to appear for trial. For the reasons assigned herein, we affirm the trial court's judgment.
