Defendant, Gordon "Randy" Steidl, and codefendant, Herbert Whitlock, were indicted for the murders of Dyke and Karen Rhoads. Defendant's case was severed from Whitlock's. Following a jury trial, defendant was found guilty of both murders. The jury found defendant eligible for the death penalty and that there were no mitigating factors sufficient to preclude a sentence...
