In this appeal, we consider whether a resentence to the same sentence of forty years at hard labor for manslaughter is excessive in light of our previous opinion in State v. Soraparu, 93-1636 (La.App. 4th Cir. 1/19/95), 649 So.2d 1100, in which we vacated the original forty year sentence as excessive and remanded for resentencing.
