WILLIAMS v. STATE

No. 96-2885.

697 So.2d 1309 (1997)

Willie WILLIAMS, Appellant, v. STATE of Florida, Appellee.

District Court of Appeal of Florida, Fourth District.

August 20, 1997.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Richard L. Jorandby, Public Defender, and Tatjana Ostapoff, Assistant Public Defender, West Palm Beach, for appellant.

Robert A. Butterworth, Attorney General, Tallahassee, and Barbra Amron Weisberg, Assistant Attorney General, West Palm Beach, for appellee.

PER CURIAM.

We reverse defendant's sentence because the trial court failed to state oral or written reasons for the departure as required by section 921.0016(1)(c), Florida Statutes (1995), and rule 3.702(d)(18), Florida Rules Criminal Procedures. On remand the resentencing should be within the guidelines. Pope v. State, 561 So.2d 554 (Fla.1990).
