The defendant, Michael Charette (Charette), was convicted by a jury of robbing and assaulting an eighty-eight-year-old woman in her own home.1 Claiming that he was mistakenly identified as the culprit, Charette assails his conviction and sentence on manifold grounds and asks us to order a new trial because of alleged errors committed by the trial justice.
