On September 26, 1988, plaintiff Ron L. Branum (Branum), an ironworker employed by Miller Steel Construction Company (Miller), was injured while working on a construction site in Roselle, Illinois. Plaintiff was injured when a steel joist, upon which he was standing, twisted and came out from under him. He fell from a height of approximately 20 feet with a bundle of steel decking falling from the same height...
