The defendant, Kenneth Ledet, was charged with conspiracy to commit first degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:26 and LSA-R.S. 14:30. Defendant pled not guilty at arraignment. On February 19, 1997, defendant withdrew his original plea of not guilty, and pled guilty as charged. On the same day, the trial court sentenced the defendant, in conformity with his plea agreement, to twenty years at hard labor, with credit for time served. The defendant...
