Defendant was arrested in mid-November 1995 at John F. Kennedy International Airport for attempting to assist in the retrieval of five suitcases containing 79.8 kilograms of cocaine. He pled guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine in violation of sections 841(b)(1)(B) and 846 of title 21 of the United States Code.
