Defendant, Dennis Glenn Barnett, was charged by amended bill of information with attempted second degree murder and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, violations of La.R.S. 14:27 & 14:30.1 and 14:62.3. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. Defendant waived his right to a jury trial; and, after a bench trial, he was found guilty as charged on both counts.
