Darrin Tyrone Sloan ("Defendant") was convicted by a jury of second degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1, and the trial judge imposed the mandatory sentence of life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. Sloan appeals his conviction and sentence urging the following as error: (1) the trial court's failure to declare a mistrial based on the alleged prejudicial "extended display" of the State's Exhibit...
