In August 1994, Shelter Mutual Insurance Company ("Shelter Mutual") terminated Kathleen Blackwell from employment after twenty years of service with the company. Thereafter, Ms. Blackwell filed suit against Shelter Mutual in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, alleging her termination was in retaliation for exercising her rights under Oklahoma's Workers' Compensation Act, Okla.Stat.Ann. tit. 85, §§...
