Sandra P. Hebert (plaintiff) and Randal J. Hebert (defendant) voluntarily separated on January 5, 1996. Defendant sought the services of an attorney, who represented both parties. The attorney filed a petition for divorce on plaintiff's behalf on February 23, 1996.
