Following a jury trial, appellant Clarence Williams was found guilty of first-degree murder, kidnapping (2 counts), and attempted first-degree murder. He was sentenced to 20 years for first-degree murder, 40 years for kidnapping, and 12 years for attempted first-degree murder, with the sentences for kidnapping and attempted first-degree murder to run consecutively. The total term of imprisonment meted out was 52 years. He appeals on several grounds...
