Eaton Vance Distributors, Inc. and Wharton P. Whitaker challenge the compensatory and punitive damages awarded to Roger E. Ulrich in binding arbitration before the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). Ulrich was awarded $625,000 in compensatory damages and $1,250,000 in punitive damages, together with costs in the amount of $13,310.97. The arbitration panel also found Vance and Whitaker responsible for attorney's fees but left the determination...
