OPINION

REID, Justice.

This case presents for review the decision of the Court of Criminal Appeals affirming the conviction of James DuBose of first degree murder by aggravated child abuse. The defendant was sentenced to imprisonment for life. Permission to appeal was granted in order to review the trial court's ruling allowing the introduction of evidence of prior injuries suffered by the victim.
