Defendant, Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center ("Michael Reese"), used X-ray therapy to treat approximately 5,000 patients for certain benign conditions of the head and neck during a thirty year period from 1930 to early 1960. Plaintiff, Joel Blaz, received such treatment at Michael Reese for infected tonsils and adenoids during a three week period in late 1947 and early 1948 while Mr. Blaz...
