Amendment 68 to the Arkansas Constitution prohibits the use of public funds to pay for abortions, except to save the mother's life. The appellants allege that the performance of abortions at UAMS, other than for the purpose of saving the mother's life, violates Amendment 68. The chancery court enjoined UAMS from performing abortions, other than those to save the mother's life, unless the patient paid for the abortion in advance, or furnished sufficient...
