NELSON, Justice.

The Fifth Judicial District Court, Jefferson County, denied Defendant Jimmy Rae Bowley's (Bowley) oral motions to withdraw his plea of guilty to the felony offense of criminal sale of dangerous drugs. Bowley appeals. We reverse and remand for further proceedings consistent with this opinion, concluding that the District Court abused its discretion when it denied Bowley's oral motions to withdraw his guilty plea.
