TJOFLAT, Circuit Judge:

Following a plea of guilty to a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1791 (1994),1 the district court sentenced the appellant, John Long, to a term of imprisonment and imposed a fine. He appeals his sentence, challenging both the term of imprisonment and the fine. We find no error in the imposition of the fine, but conclude that Long's challenge to his prison term has merit.
