Defendant-appellant Edward Shawn Villeza appeals after jury conviction and sentence for the offense of manslaughter in violation of Hawai`i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 707-702 (1993).

For the reasons set forth below, we affirm.

I. BACKGROUND
