Respondent-Appellant Neville Massie, as Warden of the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center (the "State"), appeals the district court's grant of a writ of habeas corpus to Petitioner-Appellee Holly Wingfield ("Petitioner" or "Holly"). The district court granted the writ after determining that Petitioner had been convicted of murdering her eighteen-month old sister, Crete, upon constitutionally insufficient evidence.
