FRIEDLANDER, Judge.

Nathan A. Jones was convicted of Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon,1 a class C felony. The trial court imposed a sentence of eight years, with six years executed and two years suspended. The court also ordered that Jones be placed on probation for a period of two years upon his release from incarceration.
