The defendant, Kevin Brown, was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967. The defendant pled not guilty. A six-member jury subsequently found him guilty as charged. The trial court sentenced the defendant to serve thirty months at hard labor.
