Plaintiff, Darryl Stephon Fairley, sued defendant, Ocean Drilling and Exploration Company ("ODECO"), seeking damages pursuant to the Jones Act and the general maritime law for personal injuries sustained while employed by ODECO on or about September 7, 1989.
