Defendant was charged in an indictment with a single count of violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (selling cocaine). The evidence adduced at his jury trial revealed that Georgia State Patrol Trooper Shurron Green, then with the Coweta County Sheriff's Department, used a confidential informant to make a controlled buy of crack cocaine in Troup County, Georgia. Trooper Green identified defendant as the seller.
