Justice BOWMAN delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant, Felicia Tharpe-Williams, was convicted following a bench trial of retail theft (720 ILCS 5/16A-3(a) (West 1994)). The trial court sentenced her to one year of court supervision and fined her $100 plus court costs. Defendant now appeals her conviction. We affirm.
