BRIGHAM, Justice.

In this case concerning alleged permanent injury to land, the primary issues we must determine are whether appellees1 timely filed their lawsuits against appellant Mitchell Energy Corporation (Mitchell) and whether the evidence establishes that Mitchell caused appellees' alleged injuries.
