Urban Homeowners' Corporation of New Orleans (UHCNO) on 2 August 1994 brought a rule to evict Thomas Abrams from a home located at 1418 Governor Nicholls Street. On 17 August, Abrams filed a dilatory exception and an exception of no cause of action challenging UHCNO's right to bring the eviction rule, and an answer to the rule.
