Hicks, was charged with unlawful possession with intent to distribute cocaine and phencyclidine (PCP), both in violation of D.C.Code § 33-541(a)(1) (1993).1 Following a hearing, the trial court denied Hicks' motion to suppress tangible evidence and statements.
