The defendant, Thomas E. Prince, was indicted for three counts of attempted first degree murder, one count of second degree kidnapping, and one count of aggravated rape. A jury returned responsive verdicts of guilty to three counts of attempted manslaughter, guilty of second degree kidnapping, and not guilty of aggravated rape.
